After a big blow, the trees that come down are rarely in a convenient spot. They land on fences, across the only way out, or hung up in another tree where they are one gust away from dropping. That last one is the dangerous one, and it is not a job to take on with a ladder and a borrowed chainsaw. We are set up to deal with trees under load, where there is stored tension in the wood and the whole thing can move when you make the first cut.
When you call after a storm, the first job is making the immediate hazard safe so nobody gets hurt and you can use your property again. Then we clear it properly, cut it down to manageable pieces and haul the lot away. Will my insurance cover it?
Storm tree damage is often covered. We can provide photos and a written description of the work for your claim, which most insurers ask for.
Is it safe to leave a leaning tree for now?
A tree that has shifted or is hung up can be unpredictable. Keep clear of it and call us. We would rather take a look than have you find out the hard way.
